DESCRIPTION

The Ballyhoo is likely the most popular of all marine baitfish. Used mainly rigged for trolling, live ballyhoo will swim just under the surface and "skitter" out of the water when a predator nears. Ballyhoo have been referred to as "Sailfish Candy". Other popular species which prey on ballyhoo include marlin, tuna, wahoo, kingfish, dolphin, barracuda…..in fact all offshore and many inshore species.
