Mangrove Snapper. Mangrove snapper are found throughout the western Atlantic including the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico. In those waters it is the most common of the snapper varieties. They are found in many different habitats including shallow bays, around reefs and under docked boats. Also known as the Gray Snapper, they become wise and can be difficult to catch.
