Black Marlin Mounts.  Black Marlin are found throughout the deep tropical waters of the Pacific and Indian Oceans.  It is said that Black Marlin are generally larger than their cousin the Blue Marlin, although some dispute this claim.  The I.G.F.A. All-Tackle World Record Black Marlin weighed 1,560 pounds and was landed by Alfred Glassel, Jr. in 1953.  Black Marlin can be easily identified by it's rigid pectoral fins, which cannot be folded flat against the body.  The body has different shades of blue and the sides are silver.  Sometimes there are vertical stripes on it's side.  Black Marlin Mounts are one of the most highly prized of all gamefish mounts.
