Cero Mackerel Mounts.  While known from New England to Brazil, Cero Mackerel are primairily fish of the tropical and subtropical reefs.  Cero are common throughout the Florida Keys, the West Indies and Cuba.  Cero Mackerel are popular gamefish and are commonly taken by commercial fishermen.  Cero Mackerel reportedly attain a weight in excess of 22-pounds, but most of those caught are much smaller.  The all tackle world record for Ceros is just over 17-pounds and was landed in Islamorada, in the Florida Keys.  Information courtesy of the International Game Fish Association.
