Jewfish Mounts.  The Jewfish or Goliath Grouper is known to occur in the Western Atlantic from Florida to Brazil including the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico.  The Goliath is the largest of the grouper family in the Western Atlantic, reaching sizes of up to 8-feet in length and weighing in at over 1,000-pounds.  Despite its brief fighting ability, its great size and weight make it difficult to land.  Goliath Grouper are now totally protected from harvest from Florida waters and must be released.  For more information on the Jewfish or Goliath Grouper, refer to the International Game Fish Association's World Record Game Fishes guide.
