Lake Trout Mounts. The Lake Trout occurs throughout Canada and well into Alaska as well as the Great Lakes and in sections of the western U.S. where it has been introduced. Like other chars, it has white leading edges on its lower fins and light spots on a dark background, as opposed to dark spots on a light background as found on all trouts and salmon. Lake trout are very valuable as a game and food fish, and are highly effected by pollution. Information courtesy of The International Game Fish Association. Also related to the lake trout are the siscowet and the splake. For more on Lake Trout, including valuable world record catch statistics, log onto the I.G.F.A. website.
Lake Trout Mounts are available online from King Sailfish Mounts. King Sailfish individually crafts finely detailed fiberglass fish mounts by hand, one-at-a-time. Each fish reproduction is airbrushed to resemble that species' most vivid and striking color patterns. Initially formed to promote the release of local Atlantic sailfish, King Sailfish continues to be the leader in marine conservation--now offering all sizes and species of gamefishrelease mounts, including the lake trout.
