Fish Blanks. August/2010. KSM now offers fish high quality ready-to-paint fish mount blanks. All fish blanks have been produced from first generation production molds originally created by Marine Artist Raymond Douglas**. Each mold was made from a carefully selected fresh specimen. Every fish blank comes primed with fins attached, finished mouth interiors, and with eyes and hanger installed. All you need to do is paint it.
King Sailfish Mounts first began in the early 1990's by molding select fish specimens, and then producing and supplying fish blanks to the taxidermy industry. KSM's first customers were south Florida taxidermists Pflueger Marine Taxidermy and J. T. Reese, Taxidermist--at the time the largest marine taxidermists in the world. KSM has since produced and delivered roughly 90,000 blanks used for the production of fish mounts, and has been one of the the world's largest volume producers of fish blanks for nearly two decades.
